A Look Back at My Journey
My name is Jose L. Robledo. I’m a retired ENT–Head & Neck Surgeon now living in Phoenix, Arizona with my partner. We love traveling the world—especially exploring ancient sites and ruins that connect us to the mysteries of our past.
Driven By Curiosity
My curiosity about those mysteries began when I was just eight years old. I read our family Bible for the first time, and although it fascinated and frightened me, I was hooked. Each time I reread it, I uncovered new layers, new questions, and new puzzles that kept pulling me deeper.
A Lifelong Quest for Truth
My search for understanding didn't stop with the Bible. Over the years, I explored a wide range of sacred, philosophical, and esoteric writings, including:
The Torah and The Zohar
The Quran, the Vedas, and Hindu texts
Taoism, the I Ching, and the teachings of Confucius
The works of Immanuel Kant and Machiavelli
Books on mysticism, metaphysics, astrology, ancient civilizations, parapsychology, and ancient aliens
These studies helped me form my own theories about where we come from, why we’re here, and what our future destiny might be. I wanted to share those ideas in a way that felt exciting, accessible, and fun—so I turned to storytelling.
The Birth of My First Novel Was Born
After practicing medicine in Arizona for nearly 40 years, I retired and suddenly found myself with time-time to think, time to write, and time to create. That's when I decided to take everything I'd learned and everything I'd wondered about and shape it into a science-fiction adventure.
The result is my first book, ANUNNAKI-a fast-paced novel about a quest to save Earth from an ancient secret society, unfolding as signs point to the end of times and the possible return of the Creator. It blends many of the themes that have captivated me throughout my life: ancient civilizations, spirituality, mysticism, and the ultimate questions of existence.

I was born in Monterrey, Mexico and raised in Chicago by a loving family. I'm grateful to be a father to five daughters and a grandfather to eight wonderful grandchildren. Since childhood, I've always loved reading-fantasy, science fiction, the Bible, and the histories of ancient peoples.
I began meditating as a teenager, and it has guided me through every chapter of my life. My lifelong interest in metaphysical subjects, different world religions, and the mysteries of our origin continues to shape how I think-and now, how I write.
